My oldest didn't lose his first one until 2nd grade. #2 lost his first one the first day of summer vacation after kindergarten, and #3 lost her first one the week of her 6th birthday (in the middle of the kindergarten year). The only real pattern seems to be if they got their first teeth late as a baby, they will lose them late. I have always heard the later they get and lose them, the healthier they are too, but I don't know. All mine have had good teeth so far. Four kids, two of them teenagers, and only one cavity between them, ever.

I have 3 boys and my first two started losing their teeth at 6 yrs.
but my last boy is 7 1/2 and hasn't lost 1 tooth!

I was told by my dentist not to worry, that they'll come out when they are ready to come out.

I'm still a lttle concerned

I have 5 kids, and they all have lost teeth later than their friends that are the same ages. My Grandma had 10 kids, and she always used to say "The longer it takes to get teeth and the longer it takes to lose teeth, the healthier the teeth are." I just had to take my daughter, who will be 14 next month, to the dentist to have the last of her baby teeth pulled so they can move on with her braces. Just give it time, they will come out.

Perfectly normal. My daughter is going to be 8 in december and still hasn't "lost" a tooth... She did just have 2 pulled by the dentist a few weeks ago though since 1 of her adult teeth was coming in behind.

Not to worry. I've heard that some kids won't lose their first tooth until they're nine. My son is almost seven and he just lost his first two. ; )

Don't worry. My son lost his 1st tooth 2 months aftr turning 7 and there are no signs for another one going. Fine with me. It might be genetic, my mom told me I lost my teeth also quite late and so did my husband. Osnat http://maaslife.blogspot.com/

Absolutely! No worries! My kids all have lost their teeth later than the rest! My youngest is currently 6, and has yet to loose a tooth. My oldest is 13 and hasn't yet lost all of her teeth. I think that my two oldest were in the second grade before either of them ever lost a tooth! Possibly even third grade. Hang in there... it's all good!
