My child likes to hit herself

Recently when we tell her no, or she gets mad, my 14 month old will "headbutt" the floor or anything there is around her. Sometimes she will even punch herself in the head. Is this normal or is it something I should talk to her doctor about.

My 1 year old son recently does this. He will hit his head with his hand or headbutt anything around him when he gets frustrated. He also thinks it's funny to throw is head back against his car seat when we go anywhere. I was starting to get worried but my mother told me it's just a phase. It is so comforting to know that I'm not the only one going through this.

Well, I have a 3 year old son who does the same thing. He hasn't always done this, but her recently has started doing it more and more. (Hitting himself in the head when you are correcting him or when he gets embarrassed.) We just keep telling him not to do it, but I am not really sure what to do. I really think they just don't know what else to do with whatever emotion they are feeling... I can't wait to see what others post! Maybe they know the sectret! Just know you're not alone in this one!

I think it's just a phase she's going through. she'll outgrow it. if she doesnt then yeah u should talk to her doctor about it.
