my daughter will be 6 months on the 8th, she likes to pull herself up and try to walk while holding onto things, she also trys so hard to crawl, she looks so funny when she trys, she can get up on all fours and starts to go then falls onto her belly and just slides the rest of the way with her face down and her butt up in the air, is there anything i can do to help her? im not use to a child who is tryiing to learn both at the same time lol.

My daughter is now 9 months old. She was only army crawling at first but now she is crawling/standing. she is wanting to walk but does not have the balance therefire lately she is crawling using her feet and hands with her butt in the air.. so funny to see. What my hubby and i did to get her to stop army crawling is we put her up on her hands and knees, made it a game, making silly noises, keeping her interest. i would show her how to move her hands while he would show how to move her legs. Only took a couple days and she got the hang of it. Now she is into everything! Gotta love it! lol

My now 7month old was is doing that last month then all of the sudden he just took off and is crawling I have to be very careful I may leave the living room for a second and he will follow me. Honestly there is nothing I found that we as moms can do to help they kinda just have to figure it out on there own. My two oldest did the same thing for a short while too. It does give some good laughs watching them learn :o) LOL!
