My daughter is turning 16 and we have done the usual parties at home, or at the movies. This year, she was thinking of something memorable with alot of her friends. I need ideas!

depending on finances of course, since we are all living in a failing economy, it would be a good idea to take yourself, her and maybe 2 of her closest friends to a bigger city nearby. maybe a night in a hotel and out for a nice dinner where everyone dresses up. for example, i live in a small town in south texas, but i live only 2 hours away from San Antonio, TX.

You could also find a make-up artist to come to YOUR house and give the girls makeovers! Get some do-it-yourself spa items (masks, pedi stuff, etc) for the girls who are waiting for their makeover. Get some "fancy" teen foods too, buffet style. Make it like a "Celebrity" theme party! Take photo's of them together when they're all made up and get them printed out as souvenirs of their fantastic time! Sort of like you're the paparazzi and they're the stars! Also get some girly movies too, Legally blonde ones always help!

I was just going to say Mani pedi party at the spa like the other suggestions! Hair makeup party!

Yeah I would check into the spa day idea. Girls love mani and pedi's, teenage girls love to look good and be pampered. I wanna go!

Perhaps a themed party would be nice. My 16th birthday was Medieval themed, with costumes and all! Our whole group went to the Renaissance fair and we had something like 20 kids. It was lots of fun!

We had 50 kids at home . After supper . Boys and girls . In October . Lots of chips and music.

They all went in the basement and left mid night . Lots of decorations .

i really like the sound of the mini pedicure and manicure, but even if you did it at your house and the girls could learn how to do it properly themselves as well so when they have sleepovers they can still do it to make themselves look gr8.

Hi Lyn,

I am unsure of your finances & how much you're willing to spend; however, I know teen girls like to "look good!" What not consider a mini-spa party...you could possibly have the girls get a manicure/pedicure or even a mini-makeover!!! Not sure what time of year your daughter's b-day is, but you could invite everyone over for a BBQ afterwards? Some salons/spas may even a group discount, etc., if you call around!!! Just a thought!!! Hope this helps & your daughter's party is memorable!!! Good Luck!!!
