What sort of foods is she eating and how much? If she's active then next look at her diet. If she's eating healthy foods and not excess amounts then it's time for a visit to the Dr to make sure she doesn't have a medical issue. I can't imagine 38kg! My son is 3 yr 8 mth and weighs 15.5kg!

is your girl active? do you set a good example of healthy eating, no snacking, and lots of exercise? I found it easier for my kids to be active if I play with them and keep them entertained. I'm contstantly looking for new activities to do so we don't get bored and we're always moving. This not only is healthy because they are exercising, but if they are busy then they aren't hungry or thinking of food. Some ideas are going to the park, walking around the block, sidewalk chalk (build a hopscotch or maze), jump rope, simon says, red light-green light, make up a game, etc...Best wishes, however, sometimes no matter what you do it has been shown that genetics can play a part but that can't be an excuse, we just have to fight and control it

I think 38kg is a bit heavy for a three year old, I suggest you might think about changing her diet. What does she eat? Also take her for some walks to the park maybe get ger active! If you are already doing these things then i think you should consult with your doctor she may have an underlying problem that you don't know about! Good luck.x
