Amy, he might need you to work a job if your family was going broke.

Well, I guess my response depends on your circumstances. How many kids do you have and how old are they? What is your financial situation like. After all, we do what we have to do. If the choice is between him having to get two or 3 jobs, I don't see why you can't get something part-time, but then if daycare costs outweigh the income, it is pretty pointless. However, staying at home with your kids isn't a right. You both need to decide what is best for your family.

Have you ever thought of having your on home based business? I came home from corporate America with my business and now make more from home then in the work force. My email is waminc@yahoo.com if you think that might be a way you both get what you want.

Wow. My husband would NEVER force me to get a job. I am so sorry. I work one day a week and LOVE it. It's just enough to help a little financially, but gives me lots of time with my 2 kids, to help with homework, take them to after school activities, etc. But, I take on a LOT at home. I pay all bills, do all laundry, clean the house, do dishes, make all meals and snacks, help kids with baths, and have dinner ready when hubby gets home. I make sure my hubby doesn't have to do any chores when he gets home. He really likes that!! I used to HAVE to work full time and my husband did a ton of chores at home. He didn't like that at all! LOL
Does your husband take on a lot if chores at home? Maybe if you took on everything at home (if you WANT to stay home), your hubby would be more likely to support you staying home?? I don't know, just an idea :-)

Good luck!
Amy
