Sounds like an allergy to something. If it started since pollen has come out, it's probably a seasonal thing and will fade as the pollen fades away. If it started before pollen came out, it could be an allergy to something else; food or something in the home.

Talk to her doctor beforehand, but something like Benadryl (in an infant's form) should help if it's seasonal allergies or an allergy in the home. If it's a food allergy or from something in your home, try to eliminate possible allergens. I'm not a fan of medicines, so I always look for things to eliminate problems before using drugs on kids; especially when they are that young.

I agree with Theresa the advice she just gave you was right on! Talk to your family doctor or Pediatrician. He or she will know what to do!

Is there a family history of allergies? The pollen of spring has me and my son sneezing and our noses running. I haven't gotten the allergy medicine out yet but I've started to limit the dairy which usually helps limit the mucus production. Believe it or not but pineapple seems to help dry out the mucus as well.
