My mom is taking over!

My daughter who is 17 now and is almost ready to graduate from high school and wants to live with grandma and go to college near her. They

have a close relationship with each other.

But now, she spends so much time with Grandmother going shopping and being with Grandma that I am jealous! She post cute pics of each other and have cut me out for five months!

My mom gives her everything she wants and we have fights I feel like shes completely bonded with my mom!

She is snappy with me and rejects me.

I wish my mom was out of the picture!

Calm down. I think you may be overreacting just a tad. I understand the jealousy, but seriously it is your mom. I speak from experience in the college world (you may have experience too) it is very expensive. If my mom could pay for my daughters schooling and give her a place to live I would take it. Tell your daughter that you miss going shopping with her. Make it sound like shopping is just not the same without her (because it is not!). Help her understand that, but also let her know that Grandma is more well off than you are and that even though you can't afford the expensive things that it is still fun anyway. Don't wish your mom out of the picture because one day she may not be there and then what.

I have talked to them both and they say I am overreacting and need to calm down!

Its Christmas and we usually go shopping together but I cant compete with my

moms money and the fact shes going to pay her education and provide a place

for her to live rent free!

We do not have that kind of money! She does! And, she lives in a nice

neighborhood and has her own studio like bedroom waiting for her!

I raised her and now this!
