I just recently had my second child and ever since my one yr old doesnt want solids! He will take a few bites and then start spitting his food out! He wants bottles all the time now! I know it has nothing to do with the fact that he doesnt like what I give him, b/c before the second baby came he ate anything and everything! I am very concerned cause he has started to lose a little weight! Not much, but a little! If you have any advice it would be great!

thank you so much! I will definately try doing that! I do feel like he feels like he is being replaced! He is acting out so much since I had his brother! Just being very bad, and almost angry, whereas, before, he didnt act that way! Thanks for the info and advice! I will do that and let you know how it goes! Thanks again!

I had the same problem with my daughter Kaelynn when I had her sister. Kaelynn was 2 years old when I gave birth to her sister Shelby. Kaelynn was a picky eater then but she did the same thing. I was very worried too but I tried giving her more attention before I had to feed the baby or let her help feed the baby. Sometimes I would give her an activity to do while I feed the baby. She soon quite spitting out her food and was back on track. Talk to your doctor and see what they have to say. But they don't always know everything. Try feeding your oldest first and then get him involved in something before doing anything else. Also you can try to puree his food and put it in a bottle so that he will get the nutrients and vitamins he needs. He is only 1 so letting him have a bottle is not the end of the world. My 2 older children were almost 2 before I could break them of the bottle. I am sure that your son feels like he is being "replaced" by his sibling. It is normal and things will worl out. If you need to talk let me know. Hope this helps.
