I am so distraught. My son has just been diagnosed with mestatic disease secondary to melanoma. He has said he felt like a million dollars until 3 weeks ago. He lives in FL, I in NC so I urged him to go to the ER last Sunday.CT scan shoed 10x7.5 cm large mass in chest infiltrating to trachea, ca of liver, ca of kidney, lesions in lt. femur and rt hip and ca in lung. They released him from the hospital in FL this morning and the wheels are in motion to get im here ASAP. He should arrive tomorrow. I have not seen him in 9 months. He is my firstborn and only son. How on earth does a mother go thru this pain and grief. I worked in the cancer field for 10 yrs so I know there is no cure for Greg at this late stage of the disease. I just want to love love love him and hold him and care for him every minute of every day he has left. I am heartbroken. Greg has always lived life on the edge, never takking care of himself at all. One big party, BUT at least he has lived his life the way he wanted. HELP

No parent is supposed to outlive their child. I really feel for you.My firstborn is my only son.Just do what you said you wanted to do and try to take some comfort in the thought that he lived his life the way he wanted. You will find a strength you never knew you had. Take plenty of pictures and movies. When I went through chemo,we took a lot of pictures , just in case.Didn't matter that I was bald and looked sick.We didn,t care.I am so sorry and I can't even imagine what I would do. Try to hang in there.

Gayle, my heart breaks for you! I have a sibbling going through the same thing, but a child is more than anyone can bear. Do exactly what you want to do, love him, love him and love him and let him know he is very much loved. That will give him and you some comfort. And turn to friends and people who can help you go through it. Take care.

Doctors never have the last say so! I will be praying for you and your family, and that whatever happens, you all will have the strength to get through. I can only imagine how you must feel right now.

Gayle, "With God all things are possible" Matthew 19:26. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Don't give up hope! Enjoy every moment and cherish it. I am a strong believer that God does not give us situations we can not handle and your situation may in the future help others or your son will be the one to give his testimony. Lots of Prayers your way. One thing I have learned as a mother of three currently dealing with a child having a bleeding disorder is that we never know how strong we are until we have no choice but to be strong.

I'm not a religious person, but I do believe in prayer. I hope you and Greg have some quality time together. Being the Mom of 2 boys myself, my heart is broken for you. You're a good Mom and your som knows how much you love him.
Love, love him up.

Ms. Gayle, I know God is a healer. We have a mother in our church who was healed from cancer. I am a Christian woman who believes God's Word and I am praying for you, your son and your family. I pray God holds you up and that His strength is made perfect in your weakness/weariness as you go through this. I will ask my church to pray for you and your son as well.

Paw paw leaf tea cures cancer. It is from south America. Drink lots of lemon water. It balances the ph levels so cancer can't survive in the body
