he is very active, and on rainy wet days (like today) we need to find more things to do! We play all day, but I would like to get more creative, like finger painting.

If you have a box around that he can sit in...let him color it, add stickers and drive a car, or even a laundry basket ( i must warn you that with the basket he will keep getting in even when you don't want him too)

At a young age you can do just about anything to get there attention, it's keeping it that is the hard part. up until 5 yrs old our children only have an attention span long enough to match their age, My daughters 2 and unless she is watching a movie or painting she is only doing something for about 2 minutes, sometimes longer...But I have 2 minutes to try something new... She LOVES vacuuming so I "let her"

oh thanks,, I haven't thought of playdough!! He LOVES to play chase and cars..lol and if I'm lucky he will be still long enough for me to read a book. He is just very active and loves being outside, but days like today we just can't..and need some new ideas to keep him stimulated so both of us don't get bored! I'll try the paint and mirror, that sounds like fun too!

Try a little hide and seek version where you hide some of his toys around the house and see if he can find them and bring them to you. Playdoh is also great for this age.

Have him paint a mirror. Sounds silly but we have a big mirror at range to the girls and they love it and get so creative... Plus it washes off easy too. Maybe making a hiding place to a tent, let him help make lunch or cookies

Alex LOVES to dress up and take pictures and for a bout an hr a day I let her. Now you have a boy so what does he like to do? Make a new game out of it or even reading a book
