Generally babies have a morning nap and an afternoon nap. Then, around 12 months or so the morning nap is taken out completely and they take a 2 or 3 hour afternoon nap. I don't see anything to be concerned about at all...but if you find that her nights aren't great then I would start taking out some of the naps. First try just 2...then if you feel she isn't needing the morning one cut that one out too.
But it's really not a big deal as long as it's not interfering with a good night of sleep.

Nah, unless you have a hard time putting her down at night for bed time, thats the only time Id change the naps.

I have the same questions. Is she sleeping 10-12 hours at night along with those naps? Are the naps little short half hour naps or long 1 1/2 to 3 hour naps. At her age one nap lasting 1 1/2 to 3 hours and sleeping 12 hours at night is ideal. But some kids need more sleep than others and depending if they are going through a growth spurt or not feeling well will sleep more. If the naps are the short little ones try to condense them into 2 longer naps or 1 really long nap. If she's not sleeping the 12 hours at night that might help with that as well. The later afternoon naps can be bad just because then that gives them the energy to stay up later, but if it is working for your schedulle and lifestyle then don't change it, just double check with your pediatrition on the amount of sleep she's getting to insure it is enough or if it is too much (although I doubt that could be the case). Hope this helps.

My youngest is 12m (12/21) and just this week I have gotten her down to 1 nap during the afternoon. She was having a 40min in the late am and a 1hr one in the pm. 3-4 a day seems like a lot but what is her nite time like and how many hours is she sleeping in the 24hr period?
