Hello all beautiful mommies,

I'm Chahd. I'm 25 yrs old from Egypt. I have a 5 months old baby boy "Moses"

I heard that baby Einstein help develop baby's vocab and general development. But i also read that its even more harmful than beneficial to let babies watch T.V. Even educational programs. Before i knew that, i used to let Moses watch only in weekends. Because I would really want to spend some quality time with my hubby. Is that too bad? Specially that my LO interacts with the T.v. Please advice

Your son will not die from watching Einstein videos. He won't feel neglected. He won't hold it against you when he's a teenager. He won't learn his shapes, numbers, or reading any faster either. If you need a break every now and then and the video helps, then use it. I've never met a mother that devotes every waking moment to the absolute well being of her baby. My guess is she'd be insane or die of exhaustion within weeks. The kid would be a horrible spoiled brat too thinking that the universe centered on him.

Find a balance. Make sure your husband helps out so he can have the good times and the bad times right along with you. Have fun.

I think just 1or 2 hrs every weekend is okay- it won't be a problem if watching tv doesn't becomes a habit. Maybe try to get some time when he is asleep. Good luck.:)
