Need help with indoor fort . . .

When we were little, one of me and my siblings' favorite things to do was hang out in our sheet tent. I want to repeat the experience with my kids this summer, but they don't have bunk beds. I really want to do this in the living room so my husband and I can join them. Does anyone have suggestions on how to hang the tent/fort without rearranging the furniture too much?? Do you use the air mattress or individual sleeping bags? Thanks for the suggestions. Oh, and I'd love activity suggestions too, if you have them!

Try a HUGE sheet over the dining table. :) We like the battery operated "campfire" marshmallow toaster with sticks and 100 watt bulb, in the winter. Definitely sleeping bags, otherwise I hear too much, "MOM! HE'S BREATHING ON ME!!".

we always moved a couple or the kitchen chairs into the living room and used the coffee table and the chairs, with the couch pillows to hold down the sheet or blanket. and go with the sleeping bags so that your not all crowded together too much. its cool that you wanna do that. my mom and dad never showed us how to do it, we just did it anyway lol. but there wasnt a room in the house or a spot outside that we couldnt find a place to build our fort lol. probably one of the funnest things we did when we were little.

my kids use to use the kitchen chairs they would set them up and hang sheets or blankets from them they would use elastics or what ever they could find to make the sheets stay where they wanted them
