Mak sure you have different games for different age groups. Look online I find things like this helpful. You could have a coloring section, balloon section were kids can just throw around balloons, the bozo games where you have some balls and they throw them in buckets in a row. Musical chairs, egg on a spoon race, You also can have kid friendly horse shoe games. Happy 1st birthday to your daughter, I'll be 30 on June 16th. Have fun!!!

Hi Cassandra, I am also planning my boys 1st birthday, he is on the 15th June. I have decided to hire a 3D train cake tin from a party shop, and get some helium balloons to brighten up the place. going to do some finger foods, like fairy bread, sandwiches...i havnt completely decided what else, planning to set up and blanket outside on the grass with toys and stuff for the bubs...and also have the playroom inside. Still looking out for more ideas so hopefully some more ppl will post on here! We are going to have a lot of ppl but only a few kids all around 1 and one 3 yr old. I was trying to think of games and things, but in the end decided that they will probably have a fantastic time just playing together and the little things will be so huge for them that i am not so worried about it now...but we might try have a pass the parcel (mums holding bubs) or something for the sake of the older boy and maybe everyone can get a little pressie to take home like a return gift. Thats all I got at the moment, but if i get any more ideas il keep u posted! Have a wondeful time, such an exciting age, i am just loving this age with my boy, he amazes me everyday and brings me such delight! lol :)

Oh and for food, have kid friendly finger foods, they probably won't eat too much with all the excitement going on. Good luck!

I'm wondering what the age ranges of the children attending will be? For the one year olds, I think maybe a sing-a-long and/or story time would be wonderful, and maybe set out a safe area filled with your daughter's toys for them to have "free play". The only games I think kids that young would be capable of in a group would be simple clapping games with rhymes. 2-3 year olds love fetching and matching/sorting games, Simon Says (which you can make fit almost any theme). For older kids(4-5), maybe a beanbag toss or games like tic-tac-toe. Look around on DIY crafts websites; Usually they have really good ideas and tips.
