Hi Ladies,

I am into my 3rd week of bedrest with at least 2 1/2 more to go before it will be safe to deliver this baby. I have four other children at home, ages 7, 4,3, and 20 months. I do not allow TV/movies except on Friday nights for family movie night and we do not live in an area where it is safe to have the little ones play outside unsupervised (and it is the end of Novemeber and cold!) I am running out of ideas to keep them occupied w/o fighting and they are board with story hour, playdough, coloring, ball in basket, simon says. I would love ideas that do not need my help in accomplishing, more then giving directions. I would love any and all ideas! Thanks so much

I like someones idea of making Christmas cards for family. Different crafty things would be good just stray away from glue as that could get messy since you can't be up supervising. Do you have family or friends that could come take them for a bit to the library or park every couple of days? Getting them out of the house will help out a lot and give you time to just rest.
You said you don't allow them to watch many movies/tv but if you have a laptop and for 3more weeks can allow it pbskids.org is a great educational website. Loads of games and things to entertain them. Pbsparents.org would have a few ideas of age-appropriate crafty things you can do :)
