Need to save $ on meals

In 3 months we will have 2 children and I'm thinking of ways to save $ anyway we can. I've been thinking about getting a chest freezer for the basement and using that to stock up on meats and breads when I see them on sale. (Our freezer in kitchen is very small) was also thinking to save time especially with a newborn soon to start cooking and freezing meals I've never done that before and wonder if it still tastes good and if it's worth it?? Need some advice please!!! :)

Freezing some meals is a great idea with baby #2 on the way. Yes, frozen meals taste good - Julie A listed some good options. Be sure to wrap well so it doesn't get frost burned. There's some freezer meal cookbooks, too with good ideas. I use one from Dream Dinners.

Freezer meals are great. I found that lasagna, chili, chicken spaghetti, tomato meat sauce, chicken pot pies make for good freezing. Pasta is also a good cheap meal. Just spaghetti or add cheese or meats. Yum!
