New baby on the way. Time to switch 20 month old to big girl bed?

So, I have a 20 month old daughter and a baby due in 2 months. I will have the new baby in a bassinet in my room for a few months, most likely, but am considering getting my daughter ready for the transition by moving her to a twin bed (just a mattress on the floor with no box) so that I don't have to fight that battle when I have a newborn.
For some reason, she recently started giving us trouble going to bed at night and will cry for a long time. I haven't been completely consisent and will occasionally go in and cuddle/rock her for a few minutes so she goes to bed. The problem is that I know she's just looking for attention, but is definitely able to go to sleep, as she was a great sleeper (other than a few issues with sleep regressions, etc) up until this point. I think she's just having issues because she was sick a good part of February and has to get used to not having me check on her so often as I did when she had a cold, fever, flu...etc--it was a rough month. lol
Anyways, I'm going to work on getting her to go to sleep by herself this next week. But I am wondering if I should think about moving her to a big girl bed as soon as she's done fussing at night again. I would like to have her used to sleeping out of her crib before the next baby comes, though that may not be practical.

Any advice is welcome. Sorry this post got a little long. :)

I am new to the site so you may have already switched your daughter to a big girl bed by now but we were in the same exact place as you a year ago. It really helped a lot having our daughter in her big girl bed before the baby came. It took a week to get her to stop getting out of bed ha ha but it was so worth it before the baby came!
