Maybe the cereal is too much for the end of the night. I would try cereal in the afternoon so he has time to digest it and only give him the bottle for night time. Since your switching it may take alittle bit for him to get use to the formula but it should keep him full longer. So try the meal in the afternoon and see how just bottle feeding at night works! Good luck to you!

My advice is to try to establish a night time routine. My daughter was the same way when she was just a few months old. My husband and I started doing the same thing each night before she went to bed and it seemed to develop a sense of security with her. You may try giving him a bath then getting his favorite blanket and cuddling then feeding him (make sure he is getting his tummy all the way full) while you read a story or sing a soft song.. try it for a while, he'll enjoy the consistency and feel safe.

Have you already switched to the formula? If so, maybe the formula is upsetting his stomach so you may need to try a different kind of formula. Also he may be missing the cuddling and closeness of breastfeeding. Other than that, has he learned to crawl yet or sit up. Sometimes babies that have just learned a new skill will stay up practicing.

I can't advice. Mine is only 3 months, but I just came in here to see what suggestions they give you. I started giving mine a bath every other day with the nightime bath by Johnson & Johnson. I didn't bathe her the night before last night so she was up every three hours to feed. Last night, I bathe her and put her to bed at 9 pm and she slept till 5 am. Not saying it's the night time bath soap yet. We'll see. There is also night time formula which I have not tried myself. Anyway, good luck!
