no appetite... is that bad?

I'm 29 weeks 71/2 months and ever since i was 5 months i haven't been eating good at all. Sometimes i only eat about two- three meals a day, i don't know why?! I'm concerned though because my belly is so small.

If you are really worried about it check with your OB, but I was EXACTLY the same way, and from about 5 months. I had zero appetite and when I did force myself to eat, I really didn't enjoy it, and I was full so quick!! I was super small too and up until about 8 months, no one could even tell I was pregnant!! I don't really think it means anything though, coz then my big bully buster of a boy came out Super healthy and weighing a decent 8 Pounds 12 - now Healthy as an ox!! Just bear with it will be fine x x

i stayed really small with my son, by the time i was a week from my due date i only looked about 6 months along from what people told me. dont stress bout belly size everyone carries differently just make sure u arent losing weight

as long as yr not losing weight then it isnt good but if yr gaining its fine

also yr tummy means nothing im small and i am quite a big lady

Well, I would start eating at least four or five small meals a day. Remember you want to add about 300 calories to your diet!

I would talk to your OB about it though, just to make sure everything looks ok. Some women just don't get very big, but don't undernourish yourself; you'll need all the energy you can get when your baby decides to make their entrance!

I'd say force yourself to eat a little more, but make sure what you ARE eating is good stuff, proteins and all that, and take your prenatals. Eat just a little bigger portion or an extra snack or so, just to make sure you are getting enough. I figure if you are worried about it, maybe you should try eating a lil more.

It's not always how much you eat. It's what you are eating. Obviously you can't starve yourself but as long as you are getting all of your nutrients out of those 3 meals a day then there is no problem. Also, make sure you are taking prenatals every day and if you are really worried about this then bring it up to your OB at your next appointment but I'm sure he/she will tell you that it's fine.

i was the same way with my first one! i only ate 3 meals a day! my doctor told me to cut my meals in half and eat 6 times a day it was hard but thats what i did!

Don't measure yourself by the size of your belly. Talk to your Dr. about your weight gain and ask if he/she has any concerns about your pregnancy. That is always the best place to start. As for eating you don't have to eat tons. As long as you eat 3 meals a day you should be fine. I was always told that normal weight gain was 25-35 by the end of the pregnancy. Besides you may be one of the lucky ones who doesn't get abnormally huge, everyone carries differently don't stress about it to much and talk with your dr.
