My daughter Brooke who is 2 years old, she has been peeping in the pooty for almost 4 months now but she still poops in her underware!!! Brooke did have a poopen problem a while back and the doctor put her on a layative everyother day and to lay off the milk because she loves her milk......so I'm thinking the layative has something to do with this. I'm thinking that maybe she doesn't notice she is pooping until its to late, I know it sounds crazy! Our doctor just told us she will grow out of it.....I don't know?!? I have no clue what to do anymore and I'm sick and tired of cleaning poopie underware everyday. So I'm asking for your help ladies, do anyone have any ideas to help me and my poopie daughter Brooke???

At 2 she is still very young and medical experts say that a child only just gets bowel control at this age. If I were you I would put her in pull ups until she is ready to do everything in the potty. There is nothing wrong with this if she still asks to go to the potty for a pee. It just means it is easier and nicer for you to clean then to try and launder poopie pants.

I think the laxatives will play a big part in this. With laxatives you have to go to the loo so fast she probably does not have time. If you can try and change her diet to help her go to the loo with something like dried fruit this is high in fiber and fructose so helps children go to the loo naturally.

I wish I had some ideas for you except to keep working at it. My 3 year old has been peeing in the potty for a long time now, he used to poop in the potty until the day he discovered how to pee standing up. Now we're back to changing poopy underwear. I'm thinking of doing another potty party (an all day party focused on potting with videos and a doll that goes in the potty etc) for my daughter who's two and really ready. I will probably include him in on the party as a refresher course and see how it all goes. Most advice I have seen and heard from people is to keep going with it and they will get it sooner or later. I hope you have better luck then I've had. http://www.savvymommy.com/parenting_advi...
