Hi all ,
My daughter is to be 5 yrs old this June and will be eligible for admission to Kindergarten in Sept., 2015 . She is not in a position to go to Preschool as she is not updated on her shots and vaccines .
My concern is will she adjust herself to the KG if she does not go to Preschool?
Also will she make friends in Kindergarten as she does not have any in Preschool ? Will this affect her social behaviour in any way ?

Please advice ,what will be her behaviour. Right now she does not have any freinds .I am her only friend.

Please advice

My 5 1/2 yr old was never in preschool and missed the cut off for K. Luckily her school offers a free program for kids like her that miss the cut off. It's basically K. I kept up with her as much as she would allow me to with her education. Just from that she is at the top of her class and Aces everything. As long as you help her along the way and teach her what you can she should be ok. Plus when she starts K just stay on top of her school work and make sure she understands. Keep in contact with her teachers etc... Learning doesn't have to stop at the end of the school day. Kids are all different, you never know how she'll act. My daughter is a sassy little thing but at school she's perfect and respectful they say.

Hmmm, well. My son didn't do preschool either. But seeing what they expect now in Kindergarten, I regret that decision. Our daughter (who is 2 now) will go to preschool. Now, back to my son. He did great in school but did take a while to catch up. A full day of school (full days for us) was hard for him at first. Now, he is in 2nd grade and doing amazing! He loves his teachers, he is an amazing student, and has TONS of friends! Your kiddo will catch up and if you feel she needs more attention in someway talk openly with the teacher. I found an open dialogue with my son's teacher was really helpful in settling my nerves for this new adventure my son and I were on. :) Good luck!
