Every child is different and develops at his/her own rate. The best thing that you can do is to not compare with others. Is your child's doctor is concerned then he will let you know. Just love your child for who he/she is.

walking: oldest at 1 yr middle at 10 1/2 months youngest is only 6 months old

hair: oldest 7 months middle born with a full head youngest still waiting

as others have said each child develops differently.

Don't worry, all children develop at different paces. It amuses me that there are moms out there that actually think when their child does something early it means that they will be smart and ahead of the others, in actuality that is not the case. Both of my children developed at extremely different paces and are both perfectly normal:) Just enjoy every milestone and let them grow into the beautiful person I am sure they will become!

My son has always had a lot of hair...I have a tonne of hair though! He didn't get his first tooth until he was 11 months, he is now 15 months and just had 2 more teeth come in making a total of only 6!
He isn't walking yet...but is so close! As long as you are seeing progress, however small, there is nothing to worry about!

Hey my first didn't have hair till she was 18 months, no teeth till she was 1. And walking well 9 months but she is a monkey and I wouldn't feel too bad b/c I was going crazy chasing her up my curtains. My girlfriends little guy didn't walk till he was 2. Its ok they all ended up great and did things when they were ready! Don't rush it!!!

My older daughter got her first tooth 3 weeks before her first birthday. She was born with hair, but I have met a lot of babies over the age of 1 without hair. My daughter took her first steps 2 days before her first birthday. If your child is 10 months old you really have no worries. The later the teeth come in the more healthy they will be.

both my girls where born with full heads of hair and never lost it though it did lighten over the first year. They both got there first teeth (sets of 2) at 6 months but my youngest only had 4 by her first bday. My oldest was a early walker she started at about 8 months almost 9 when she started doing so with no help. But my little one was 1 before she started walking. She crawled everywere but would not stand up. While my oldest did not like to crawl she did so for about a week before moving on to the "elephant walk" on her feet and hands she did that for almost 2 weeks then was upright.

Don't worry to much they start at differant times, if it does consern you talk to her ped.

if your baby is 10 mths....no need to worry. Some babies develop fater than others. Boys develop more slowly than others. My son was a slow eater, slow walker, slow talker...etc. He's 6 and he reads on a 4 th grade level. Every child develops at there on rate. Sounds like there right on target.

My now 3 year old, still has little hair. And it is still thin and fine!!! My two older girls had thick and long hair nearly since birth. But they all had teeth very early on like by 6-7 months they had their 4 top and 4 bottom. My newest baby is 3 1/2 months old and she is bald as well. My three oldest kids walked at 9 -91/2 months , and my 3 yr old didn't walk until almost her 1st b-day!

So if you look at all the comments on this page and everyones different stories you'll see you have nothing to worry about :)

Lily was 8 months when she got her first teeth (her first 6 teeth came in pairs, poor baby), hair she was born with and never lost and she started walking at 9 months. When she finally did get her teeth she had just the two for the longest time and then it was like they started popping up everyday ;) Every baby is different, don't worry it will happen when it's supposed to for your LO. Be patient and give it time. Trust me, I wish she would have waited on the walking thing a little longer ;)

every baby is different, probably depends on genetics, at least as far as the teeth and hair go.

My son is 15 months old and only has 2 teeth but started walking between 9-10 months. He hardly had any hair when he was born but is holding his own now. I think every child is different. I would ask your peditrician the next time you go for an appointment. If the doctor is concerned they'll tell you; otherwise, I wouldn't worry. Enjoy the time you have with your baby while he/she is still a baby! :)

My son had 8 teeth at 8 mths (just like I did), walked at 9 months, but didn't need his 1st haircut until he was 30 mths. I was so proud when he did everything early, until I realized it was a lot harder to keep up with one that was running and climbing than one that was crawling! And of course now he is 5 and we are still working on nighttime potty training. They are all diffierent and develop at different rates. My brothers boys didn't start walking until after their 1st birthdays and they are both healthy happy babies!

My son was born with hair and started walking at 10 months. Well he was taking one or two steps here and there before that but he really took off at 10 months. And he is 13 months and has 12 teeth. My stepson tho had peach fuzz until he was 2 lol actually it may have been a little longer than that. Each child is different and there is no need to worry

You do not state how old your child is. but I agree that babies do things at their own rate.

[deleted account]

I agree with everyone that says babies do things in their own time and all at a different rate.

My little girl is 14 months. Got her first 2 teeth at 3 months and now has 14! Born with lots of black hair., some fell out initially but now its thick. I found it really started to thicken after her first hair cut.

She started taking a few steps at 12 months, but really got the hang of it and 13.5 months.

My daughter Sadie had a head full of thick hair when she was born, then lost at least half of it around 3 months, then it grew back in finally around 7 months but in a different color. Her first teeth were the bottom two at 7, and then 4 on the top at 10 months. She started crawling around 5 months, and was walking on her own at 9 months. It was really early for her to be walking, but it's all she could do. Every child is different which makes them all so special in their own lil ways : )

My son will be 15 months Jan 27, 2010, he got his 1st tooth at 3 months (two bottom in the middle), then his teeth started coming in two at a time every few weeks, now he has 16 in his little mouth, including molars! (not fun!), he 'could' rollover at 3 months but had no desire to do it but once in a while, sat up assisted around 3.5 months and assisted around 4.5 months, sitting in highchair practicing with 'puffs' and a spoon that I would put a 'dot' of food on at 4 months, sippy cup 5.5 months (didn't get really good until 9 months though), he wouldn't crawl until 10 months but he started 'pivioting' on his rear-end to move around 6 months or so. He is 15 months now and has just started being able to 'stand' on his own in the middle of the room for several seconds, not walking yet (thank goodness!), can walk assisted and he can 'cruise' around furniture. He had the typical 'peach-fuzz' when he was born, he didn't lose any but now he has an 'OKAY' amount of hair...not much but we are going to get his 1st haircut in a few weeks (just to clean up the ends and around the ears). Don't worry about how your baby is progressing unless your pediatrician shows concern of delayed development, chances are, your baby is completly normal. Look at my son, he did LOT'S of things WAY EARLY and he didn't crawl till 10 months and STILL isn't walking! Hope this helps!

Charlotte is 11 mths. (DOB 8 Feb 09) She has three teeth, got her first two in her 7th month (for Father's day), and just got her third at 11 mths (for Christmas)
She was born with lots of black hair (down to her collar) and then over the next few mths it all fell out and now she has blonde hair. Not sure how long it would be as I keep trimming it so it doesn't get little knots in the back when she sleeps.)
She is just learning to get into a sitting position from lying on her tummy. She goes around and around on her bottom in a circle. She can step along if we hold her hands, but has never shown any interest in crawling. I don't think she ever will. She holds out her little hands so we'll take them and walk her along instead.

Needless to say, I have lots of little clean spots on my floor, and she stays where I put her.

and, she's "completely normal"

[deleted account]

My son had hair when he was born, his first tooth at 7 months, and started walking on his own a week after he turned 1. But that has nothing to do with your baby. I've heard of kids not really having much for hair till they're about 2. My best friend's little girl didn't get her first tooth till she was 1 and started walking at 15 months. Every baby is different but it's OK to be different. I think with walking they say something like, if your baby isn't walking by 18months have a doctor take a look at them. But before then, don't stress. They grow up so fast. Don't rush it;)

My brother was the youngest of 3 and my Mother says he got around a lot faster crawling so that is mostly what he did until he was about 18 months. But my youngest walked the earliest, she is still trying to be big and even potty trained herself because she wanted to be 4. My first 2 were about 11 months, my youngest was almost 10 months. My 2nd child took forever to grow her hair. She had a lot when she was born, it took its time falling out then took its time coming back in. I knew a kid who didn't get any teeth until after he was a year old. Try not to worry so much.
