My husband and I adopted our beautiful son at birth in texas and still waiting to finalize in NY. He is 4 months and 7 days old. He is our wish and our rainbow. I feel privileged to be able to be a stay at home mom to our miracle.

I was not trying to discourage or anything, the Lord knows our wants and needs. I do not judge or doubt your ability to be a parent. I was only trying to show the respect that I have for you because even if I wanted to adopt I couldn't. There are people in this world who shouldn't even be parents and adopting children who deserve good parents is a beautiful thing. And I know I will make an excellent social worker because it takes someone who cares with everything that they are and is strong enough to deal with the hardships of life. I admire you decision to adopt, congratulations on your beautiful gift and God bless.

@Mrs. Elsie, thanks for your response but If its not for you then it's not . I don't want to sound mean but you should consider another profession rather than being a social worker. I wasn't really trying to encourage anyone else to adopt I was just putting my feelings for my son on the paper. Do you have any kids?

CONGRATULATIONS! That is a beautiful thing! I wish I could consider adopting. it may sound mean and bad but its just difficult to be willing to care for a being that I have not created in this economy. I want to be a social worker, a child advocate. But I don't think we could adopt. I admire your decision to adopt and I want to, but do not think I could do it. You have to be extra strong to adopt. and it may not seem like that is true but it is. I admire yall
