My 15 month old son spends all his time with adults and his doctor has informed me that he needs to start spending time with children closely to his age. Money is tight so daycare is not really an option at the moment, however, I don't have any friends that have children or grandchildren my son's age. How do I meet parents in around where I live that would be interested in doing play dates?

Also if you have a community services centre in your area check with them. We have all sorts of free playtimes through them. Check too with your local sports centre or gym to see if they have a child's play time, usually they last 1.5 hours and cost 2 dollars or so.

Try the following:
Local libraries usually have toddler time activities once a week...other moms would be there as well...he could make friends and so could you...this would be free....
Look into local churches, some have mother's day out programs at low or no cost..might have to volunteer a bit
Is there a park near by where other moms might be taking their toddlers....

That's a good question; I want to know too. mY baby is still too small, but still.
