Hi, i stay at home with my 14 month old daughter.. and shes in that stage of play play play.. well when i sit down to play with her, she stops and just watches movies.. idk if she dnt wanna play with me, or i was too late coming in to play.. she will have me read books to her, but she'd rather sit there and read them to herself? i feel like a bad mom and that im not playing enough with her. or that its to late and shes just wanting to be misindependent while playing at all times..???

I am suer it is just a phase and soon she will want to play with you. Kids can do things that make you feel like crap but they do not mean it personally. They may even say hurtful things but most do not understand what it means or that it hursts you. I say just don't give up on trying. At least no one can say you didnt try then.

i feel bad, cause being home the house is always clean, the laundry is always done and food is on the table .. but inbetween those times of not cleaning and getting things ready for the day. i wanna play with her teach her, the ABC'S and nose, lips eyes..lol but i feel like shes not going to because she pulls away from me, like  ishould of played with her more when she was younger.. so i get on the computer or somthing, when she wants something ill get it for her right away.. but then she goes back to herself.. but when other kids are around she plays with them.. and she shares her thigns with them.. so thats never a problem. its like she dnt want mommy she wants other kids to play with ...

My daughter did the same thing. She just plain and simply didnt want to share anything with me even if I was playing with her. I just started reading the paper or doing work on the floor next to her and then eventually she started to want to interact with me more. It started off with my stuff she wanted to do but then I would redirect her to her toys and go from there. Generally when we switched to her toys she forgot that she didnt want to play with me and just went with it. Good luck!
