hi there ..ive had problems up to my ear with my son...6 months i tried to train him..wen he turned 3 i began to panic as he was starten playschool.all i kept doin was sayin how much of a big boy he is and encouragen him to go but to no avail.a friend had told me to let him be for a while and he wil start when he is ready....and low and behold 2 weeks r so after letting him be he runs up to me and tells me he needs to go peepee..i do believe in them doin it when they are ready but also be very encourageable.i think its mostly down to his friends at school when he saw thm usen the toilet... but also keep tellin them there big girls/boys..also a variable treat for been good..(i used a new book) or that just to kick start the progress..my son now doesnt like wearing nappies and now in the process of been fully trained,hr runs to toilet when he needs to go.,so DNT GIVE UP it will happen..every child is different! hope i have helped in some way! xx

I don't have any advice for you unfortunatly I am facing the same problem w/ my 3 yr. old daughter. She knows what to do she just doesn't want to.... She tells me " No thank you mommy, maybe later." It is so frustrating my other kids didn't have this problem bribery worked on them, lol. Have you tried candy as an incentive for going on the potty?
