My daughter is 2 and we started potty training, some days she wants to go on her potty and other days she fights us on it.. Is this normal? anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking about buying her one of those potty dolls since shes always trying to get her dolls to sit on her potty.. Has anyone used those?

Makenzie goes number 1 and 2 but thats when she wants to... We have tried the potty charts with her favorite characters on it, giving her rewards and it was working for a while than we went on vacation and she regressed. But I think I may have to put the potty training on a min because I was just put on bed rest for the next two weeks since my little man is trying to make his debut a little early.

I never used the doll, but my boy did best with a prise offered for continued success. In our case a really cool helicopter. Our issue was a bit differant though, once he learned number 1, he never had an accident, he was afraid to let number two go though and held it for two weeks! I would have bought him anything, lol.

But from what I've read, staying positive is the best way to go. Their should never be criticism or harshness for not going or making it on time, just lots of praise when she does!! Good Luck to yous!

Hi Samantha My son is toilet training at the moment....im letting his be in control. He is refusing to wear undies but takes himself to the toilet for both nuber 1's and 2's...its only been 3 weeks but all positive. The main thing is to make it a happy positive experience. He is so proud of himself and is now interested in undressing and dressing. As for the doll im not sure.....but is good to role play things to make your daughter feel comfortable about it all.
