I plan on potty training my daughter between 18-24 months. But i'm not exactly sure how you start it? Can you help me?

Well I'm not an expert but this is what I am doing...I stuck my daughter's potty chair in the living room in front of the tv..that way she is not just sitting there bored. I stick her on it as often as I can. I also give her one piece of chocolate for sitting there..so that way she will want to sit there and not get up...and one more if she potties. I would not rush it though. My daughter is 2 1/2 yrs. old and we are still potty training and we have been working on it since she was about 18 months old. So if she doesn't get it down quickly, don't panic, she will get it on her own time when she is ready. Most kids are not completly potty trained until around 3. Hope this helps. :)

I agree with everything Amanda said. Just keep it low pressure. You might also sit her on the potty right after she wakes up. We all seem to need to go then, so it will give her an immediate success. A reward system will really help too. Mine like stickers. So, I got an inexpensive calendar and some stickers (they picked) and they initially got one everytime they used the potty and then one each day they made it with no accidents.

One other thing, all parent's want to be done with diapers as soon as is humanly possible. However, your daughter may just not be ready to do it when you want to do it. Thus, my keep it low pressure statement. Your frustration with her pace in this will just make it that much harder and frustrating all around. Be patient and good luck.

I have three boys and have potty trained two so far by the age of 2....

Start bringing your daughter into the bathroom a couple of times every couple of hours and have her sit on the potty, or even when you go to the bathroom have her sit on her potty..... after she is comfortable with sitty on the potty, and goes atleast a couple times a day on it start to put her right in undies....

I could never do pull ups, I always found them a waste of money....if they think it is ok they will go in them, the only way to learn is to feel the wet pants....

summer and spring is the best time cause you spend more time outside and it wont be an issue in you house...that is the only way I could get them to be accident free after a couple weeks of that...going straight to the undies has worked for me and my aunt babysits kids and has done the same thing for years..

..and same with at night....after they were 2 1/2 they went to bed with no diaper and they would feel the wet they will know to go to the bathroom... you can buy the bed liners so it does not ruin the mattress....Good luck!
