Potty training for a tiny bum?!

Hi!

My daughter is 1 1/2, and has been showing interest in using a potty. I got her a Safety 1st potty seat to get her used to it in preparation. The only problem is, her little behind is WAY too small! She sits on it with her diaper and jeans on, but then if they come off she slides right down into the hole! Plus, her legs aren't long enough for her to scoot herself back far enough. She wears 9-12 month size pants, but can still fit in her 3-6 month shorts. Anyone else have this problem?! What kind of potty is best for kids small for their age?

The one I have is a stand-alone potty... the cheaper kind from Target that is also a step-stool when closed. I should have clarified that. And her bum slides into that hole...there is no way she'd fit on an insert for the toilet!

I guess I'm mostly just wondering if there are different sizes for the little potties or some brands that run smaller. I would go to the store, open all the boxes, and sit her on them, but they might get a little upset with me... :)

We had success (with our first and #2 is coming along) with a stand alone potty that sits on the floor. If you don't mind a little extra clean up, they are much smaller then the big potty and I've never heard of anyone falling in.
