Potty training my daughter. Eeeekk!

So my daughter (turned 4 Feb. 1) is officially out of diapers and pull ups and into underwear. YAY! However now comes teaching her how to wipe herself properly. I didn't have to worry too much about my son but girls are a totally different matter. I've been noticing that if she wipes herself throughout the day she will get a little red on her lips and a little pink inbetween. I'm guessing she's not getting all the pee when she wipes and moisture is building up down there causing it to get a little irritated. Has anyone else had this issue and what did you do. Thanks!

The red could be from wiping too hard.. Leaving a lil pee and moisture would only make her a lil stinky ... I agree with Jennifer get the flushable wipes but monitor or you'll spend a fortune on them. When my daughter potty trained at 2 we asked her if she was making big potty (poo) or lil potty (pee) if it was big we gave her two wipes, small potty got one and we did no goodbyes (flushing for reward) until mommy or daddy (mainly me) to check for too much in the toilet or not enough ( when not enough there'd be poo stain on the toliet from sliding down) g/l

For my kids, until they were old enough to realize how to get it all, I bought those flushable wipes. It also worked good, because they knew to use only one and I didn't end up with 1/2 a roll of tp in the toilet after one trip to the potty.
