My son was sooo afraid to poop! I would have to stand in the bathroom with him and he'd hug my leg. It was like he thought his body was falling into the toilet with his poop lol. When he would eventually go, he would be so proud of himself. I was proud, too, and made up a very silly song. I would dance and cheer like he'd won the Super Bowl lol. Hang in there . . . they get it when they are ready. My son was 3, my daughter was 2. As a general rule, I took them every two hours, but I would also sit the little potty in the living room with me while I was cleaning or doing dishes, and they would read a book or watch TV. I know some moms might frown upon the potty being in front of the TV, but it worked for me. Hope it helps.
