Be patient and don't get frustrated. Buy some "big boy " underwear. My son showed interest at 18mo so we started potty training. We did the rewards-stickers, candy, jumping up and down with praise. One year later...he just decided he didn't want to wear the diapers anymore and started using the potty. He had a baby brother so I think he didn't want to be a baby anymore. Lots of praise when they do finally go. Jump up and down, dance around and scream yeah! They will do it when they're ready.

Well i have two eight year old boys who were ptty trained by the time they were two and a half, i forget everything that i did to get them to go on the potty... Now my daughter is 19 months i know this is early but she wakes up dry and she tells me when she poops and pees but has a fear of sitting on the actual potty she was doing great for about three days and now all of a sudden she doesnt want to do it any more... I guess we will have to wait till she is interested agian...

Don't push them but keep trying. My daughter was potty trained at 18 months old but my 2 sons were almost 3 years old before they were potty trained. My youngest son started going on the toilet just before he turned 2 but then a couple weeks later he had no interest in it. We tried everything from rewarding him with candy/money/toys to telling him he couldn't go to school unless he wore underwear. Then all of a sudden one day (6 months later) he wanted to go on the toilet and has been doing it ever since. Just keep trying, it will come when they are ready!
