The seats that fit on the regular toilet would be the best to use with a little step. My little girl is potty trained, but when she was almost fully trained, I just put her on the toilet without the little seat, and now she uses the big toilet without any hassle. Good luck!

the only potty chair that worked for us is the baby bjorn chair...its a bit more expensive...i think i got mine for 20 and everything in the store was like 15. but the potty part is oval instead of round allowing more room for them to sit and still have room for all body parts. i have really big boys so they needed the extra room. i would set them on the potty for 15 minutes every hour and reward them when they went

my son pretty much goes when ever he needs to. but he always pulls at his diaper right after he has gone. and i think having books or a toy in there they like is a good idea so they feel comfortable.
my husband always takes him to the bathroom with him so he can watch a man use the toilet. so im hoping hes already kind of learning from that.

I wouldn't go with anything fancy - just get a plain little potty for them to seat on. I used books with my little one while she was using the potty so she would look at the books & sit on potty a little longer. But if they don't want to sit on the potty at times, don't push them cause you may end up that they have no interested anymore or scared. Best of luck with potty training. My little one was between 2.5 yrs - 3yrs old when trained.

My son is now 6 going on 7. I took my son with me and we chose the potty together. My son was 2- 1/2 yrs old when I potty trained him

My son is not quite there yet but my sister had a technique that worked so awesome that I want to do the same. All she used was a potty ring but she would put her boy every morning on the toilet and wait for stuff to happen and get super excited, same thing in the evening. She started with 9 months already and before the kid was 2 he didn't have any poopy diapers. Does your son have a dirty diaper routine or does he go whenever?
