Preschool or wait til Kindergarden?

My daughter is 3.5 years old. I'm feeling like she doesn't need to go to school asap! I feel like she's already well learned beyond her age! She's a pro at the PBS website/YouTube/Netflix. And she chooses educational videos and skips the ads. She even recorded me vacuuming without my knowledge! I would love to postpone her public schooling.

I feel the same way about my son. Here we have Junior Kindergarten, which starts at age 4. My son was born in December, so he would start when he is only 3. I feel like it's all too early, and besides, he knows all his letters, etc already. I'm waiting for SK, and that will already come too fast, imo. Just keep her home for now and ignore anybody who expresses worry about her education, because they obviously have different priorities than you.

There is really no reason to send your child to preschool, unless you want to shell out some extra dough :) If you are already sending her to/paying for daycare, then sure, why not? But since she is home with you (at least that's what it sounds like to me) then I say don't bother.
