Or this is what it feels like to be here with my two toddlers : a girl of almost 4 and a boy of 1.5. And they are Aaactiive!! I am a pretty active person myself but these two do not stop for anything. Alina engages me in the concersation as soon as she wakes and i am unable to think my own thought untill my boyfriend (their father) comes around 10 pm. Of course a lot of women have been in my situation and came out on top. And i enjoy certain moments of motherhood. In my case it is a no exit sign on my door. I cant leave my house. I have no car and still owe a bunch to get my DL reinstated, so there is no option there. There is nowhere to walk, next to us is a mountain range with wild animals. The yard has a a wire fence ,further reminding me of prison, where you do not leave the square yard that you are allowed to walk around in. There are constant chores, some games, may be a shower, usually not))) Food preparation, breaking of fights and incessant chatter about the happenings in the world of my 4 year old daughter. Incessant. By the time our warden comes home, he is too tired to do anything and wants to relax. And its been like that for the last 4.5 years. Sometimes i ask myself: how do others do it? How they keep from blowing inwards?

Celia, thank you for your response, i am an immigrant from russia, the way i was raised was different from his upbringing. One of the points we do not see eye to eye is employement of both parents while small ones go to day care. In my culture the extended family always took the babysitting as their responsibility, i grew up knowing all my aunts very well, their children were my brothers and sisters, their fathers protected all of us. Here it seems only one person raising children - is the mother. My Warden is firmly of the opinion that both parents need to work. I believe until the child is 3, the mother needs to stay home. And i am firm on that also. and that is why i am where i am.

hello, my name is Celia, nice to meet you. First of all, let me start off with saying that im also a mom to an 8 month old baby girl. As for i know, their isn't a exit sign for me lol. As a mom, its been challenging and so far I've been overcoming them. It is hard being a mom and yes their is always constant chores all the time. The showering part is so true because also i don't get to take a shower everyday as much as I used to before and when i was pregnant. Anyways, have you talked to your warden on how you feel that he sometimes doesn't help you out when you need him. Its very important that he needs to know what is going on since he is the father of your kids. Like i said, just talk to him on how you feel, I'm sure he will do something about it. Wish you best of luck and give me an update. God bless

Celia
