So my daughter is 4 months, and although she had cereal in her nghtime bottle since 7 weeks, we jsut stated giving her cereal on a spoon on Saturday. So fa we've done it once a day, but my question is how often should we give the cereal and at the feeding whenshe does get it, should she get a smaller bottle?

My daughter started with some in the mornings, about an hour after her last feeding. The box of cereal we used said to start with about 1 TBS of cereal and add milk until it was the consistency of thin grits.
My daughter HATED the plain cereal (rice & oatmeal). I was afraid she wasn't going to be a good eater because she just wasn't interested. I tried it one day -- I don't blame the girl! It tastes like cardboard! Bleck! It wasn't until I added some mashed avocado or banana into the mix that she took to it like a pig! Those are safe first foods if your daughter isn't a fan of plain cereal -- maybe she just needs more flavor like mine does. My daughter is 10 1/2 months old now and there isn't a single food she won't eat -- seriously!
