My 3 month old son has recently been extremely restless when he sleeps. He'll frequently wake himself up and touch and scratches his face, sucks and bites his fingers, turns his head from side to side, and moves his arms around. Most of the time he'll fall back asleep if I hold his hands down, but I don't know how to get him to self soothe. Could it be early teething that's bothering him or dreaming? He doesn't really care for pacifiers and even when he takes it, he ends up grabbing it out of his mouth. Any advice moms?

My son did that too and I tuck his arms down under the sheet for him to go to sleep, that he can still move them but they are somewhat restrained. Also I started giving him a teddy bear to cuddle and that has helped a lot as he just hangs onto that instead of flapping his arms around. If he takes a dummy that might help too.

Yes I tried swaddling, but he hates t. He get's too hot and doesn't like his hands being confined.
