Returning to work...

OK Well it is only part time! Lol (less actually) but the tthought of the transition is getting to me already...I was staying home with my sick husband and the plan was to stay home with the baby but when my husbnd died 4 months ago, alot of things changed. My son is 1 month old now but I've been out of work for over a year now. I was a counselor for young adults wit autism and I am eager to go back. They need me and are waiing for my long awaited return. But, I do not trust anyone to take care of my baby even for a few hours, I don't want to miss anything and I can't afford to pay anyone. I'm currently staying with family who are suggesting I get a full time job, but I can't see it no time soon!

Jasmine, you have been through so much in such a short time. Don't stress yourself. Going back to work is always a trying time for both you and everyone involved. The best advice is to have a plan. Start out small and gradually increase as you feel comfortable. There are great websites out there to find great child care ( and as you become able to afford someone. These two websites do background checks on the child care givers and give the "seeker" the opportunity to be very specific in what they are looking for (CPR certified etc.) Hope that helps... and you won't miss out on too much.
