Hello! Two weeks ago I started staying at home with my son, who will be 1 this week. He seams to be outgrowing his morning nap, which puts me in a bind as far as ideas for a new routine. Can anyone share suggestions on what their routine is/was like with a 1 year old? Thank you!

Hi Trina: thank you! I can't tell you how happy I've been! And it is looking like the hardest 'job' I've ever had :)), but well worth it! I think I need to plan more activities/outings for the morning, so he can nap at 11/noon, like you said. Thank you for the response!

My son is 13 months and recently went to having 1 nap. I'm very flexible with daytime naps and let him take the lead. He started needing a nap at about 12 but then I found that he wasn't sleeping long enough because he was hungry. Now I've started giving him half his lunch at 11:30 then he naps for 1 1/2 hours. I watch him and see when he's getting tired and put him down for a nap.

I find being a SAHM that I need to get out everyday so that I have some structure and routine in my life too, and so that I get to have a conversation with an adult. Well done for staying home - you are doing the best thing for your child!!
