Hi, I'm looking for some help with examples of daily routine's from stay at home moms of a 2 year old. I've had a few but have falling into a rut and can't seem to get my head straight ;)

I also want to incorporate potty training into the schedule.

Thank you :)

Our schedule is almost exactly the same as the previous poster. The only difference is I have a 2, 4 & 6 year old, so we throw in dropping off and picking up my kindergartener from school until summer time.

Hi Tammy! Here is our schedule, for summer anyways. I'm a SAHM of a 3 1/2 yr old and a 2yo with #3 on the way. We are up between 7 & 8 breakfast to follow promptly, then on to some play time, usually interspersed with a little toons depending on how everyone feels that day. We play and everyone helps out a little with chores til about 11:30 when I start to get lunch ready and kids either play outside or together inside. Lunch is about 12 or so and then it is time for nap for my 2yo and quiet time for 3yo and mommy, in this time I read get the hubby ready for work, play on FB or whatever seems to float my boat for those 2 - 3 hrs when 2yo is napping. about 3pm we have a snack then some more outside play while mommy gets chores done. 4:30 I start to get dinner ready and the kids hang out and can watch some toons or play in their rooms or stay outside, whichever they prefer on a given day. dinner is usually between 5:30 and 6pm after which everyone gets a bath (sometimes only my 2yo wants one) Then story time and bed for my 2yo, he's usually in bed by 7 -7:30 pm after which I get my big girl ready for bed, teeth brushed, hair combed, and stories, she is usually asleep by 8pm. This schedule works for us but honestly it took me until there was another baby in the house to have a real schedule. With my daughter we just kinda ran with what was going on with some semi-regular meal times. Also try to work with your little one's schedule, they seem to have an almost schedule already mapped out when you sit back and pay attention. The way I started mine was I took 5 days when daddy was working and really paid attention to the times my oldest was hungry sleepy and such and then tried to put our daily routine into that. Good luck and don't stress if it doesn't happen right away these things take time and sometimes a little adjustment before they fall into place.

Tammy, you are a brave, brave woman potty training right now. I know that my 2yo boy is soooo not ready, he will only let me put him on the potty right before the bath but does fine when he does. With my daughter we incorporated potty training by putting her on the potty every half hr, if she had an accident i would go down to every 15 mins and made sure to get her to the potty no more than 15 mins after a meal or snack. I'm not ready to do that with my little man yet either. GOOD LUCK!!

Thanks so much Heather :)

My son naps between 1030-1130am so lunch is usually when he wakes up. I'm not sure if this is a good time. Do you know what are usual nap times, morning nap & afternoon nap or does it make a difference? Also I want to start potty training. We've been potty training off and on since he was like, I think probably 9 or 10 months, right after he started walking at 8 months but just off & on to introduce it and he loved it when he was younger but now he's a little strange to it ;) I would like to make up a schedule that will incorporate potty training but I don't know where to begin. When & how many times do I put him on the potty to start? Like every 2 mins?

Thanks :)
