Hi ladies, I am a 23 year old SHAM of a 16 month old , and I have another baby due this October. I'm writing in bc I have fallen into the category of a mom who lets herself go. I'm young and feel like im attractive but I just don't seem to care about fixing myself up. I've been with my husband for 6 years , and is amazing and loves me no matter what and still seems very attracted to me( even on the days I forget to comb my hair!) I feel I am too young too just give up on my appearances and I feel it will just get worse when the new baby comes. I haven't bought myself anything new besides a pair of pjs in over two years , and it's not bc of financial reasons it's just bc I'd so much rather buy for my kid. It just seems useless to spend 2 hours getting ready when I could be playing with my daughter , but at the same time I know I'll feel more confident if I put more effort into myself. Has anyone felt this way and how did u manage your time so you could still feel a little sexy even if you are a mom?

Thanks Rebekah, I noticed my confidence dwindling lately and Ive been thinking of how I can improve it. My husband always says how lucky he is to have a pretty girl and I used to think " damn right your lucky" haha, and now I catch myself thinking " what the hell are you talking about?!" I will put some extra time into my routine for myself ( and remember pajamas does not qualify as real clothing lol) . Maybe I will dedicate a day once every few months to get a haircut , manicure , and buy myself something nice to wear.

Yes!!! Oh my god I so get this lol. most of the time I am just too tired to get dressed up but I realise the importance now of doing it just to feel better for the day.. I put makeup on only if I leave the house - even if it is just to go and get grocerys - you have to get out of the house at least once a week!! Just get ready while your kids are in the room playing with some toys or something.. even if you just put on some lip gloss and mascara.. and I have to get out of my trackpants if I am going to town - I didnt used to care but now I recognise that its really inportant to my own mental health and how I feel about myself to at least feel pretty once a week.. you dont have to do it all the time but at least once a week make an effort... :) youl feel so much better!
