SAHM vent about other people's attitudes towards my job

I was at a wedding and a family friend asked me about 10 different ways if I was working, or if I planned to turn any of my interests into a career. She knows I have a 7 month old.....
Her kids are all super competitive and accomplished. They are all nice but I get it I get it......Did she really have to rub it in though?????? I never brag about myself or my life except to share my happiness.

Heather, just breath! Having kids changes everything! I'm also a stay at homie and people ask me all the time if I want to go back to cooking (before I had Annabelle I was a chef) and my answer, while I was pregnant was always "of course" and then she was born and its sooooo hard to take care of the house, cooking cleaning, laundry, let alone keep your kid alive and happy. Now my answer is "nope, I don't want to work 16hour days and come home to do it all over again".
Enjoy ever second you get of being home with your little one.
I'm naturally competitive but I draw the line at parenting. Everyone's life is different and nobody can tell you how to live it but time say "I'll take your comment into consideration, do you have the time?" Hehehehe

Good luck at home with your little!

When you use the term "rub it in", it pretty much implies you are ashamed of what you are doing. "Rub it in" refers to rubbing salt onto a wound that is already there.
