Hello fellow Sahms, I'm trying to set up a schedule to be more productive and effective with my girls. I just needed an idea and some help on how to put together a schedule. What do some of your schedules or routines look like? Thank you...

I started building my schedule around when the kids slept from there I figured out when a good time to feed them was. Then I added things that were important to me; exercise and relaxing. Finally I sat down and figured out what I wanted my cleaning routine to look like and where it fit best for me and the kids. My kids tend to want my attention much more in the afternoons so I just decided that I needed to be available to them as much as possible then. That's how I went about it. Hopefully some other moms will reply so you can get a few more ideas.

I don't know your kids ages but mine will be 1 and 2 years old next month. Here is our basic schedule during the week:
7:30am- Wake up (tv time for kids while they drink their milks)
8am- Breakfast & getting kids dressed
9am- I workout and get dressed while dad plays with kids
10am- Dad leaves for work, littlest naps for an hour, I begin my cleaning routine, oldest plays/ helps me
12:30pm- Lunch and toy clean up for nap time
1:30pm- Both kids nap and I relax
2-3pm- Kids wake from nap and we play (outside whenever possible)
4pm- Littlest naps again sometimes, snack time
6pm- Dad gets home
6:30pm- Dinner
7pm- Dad gives kids bath, I clean up supper, kids and dad pick up toys
7:45-8pm- Kids get put to bed and my workday is over
That's basically how it goes but depending on the day I switch around the cleaning and play time to accommodated activities and weather. Kids watch one program a day of tv and then we have music or my news podcasts on. They go to the library story time every week to socialize with kids and our neighbor has kids their age they play with a few times a week. During play time with the kids I read books, do art projects, or just do whatever they want. Hope my example helps give some ideas on what will work for you and your girls.
