I am just curious how other stay at home moms do the whole "schedule" thing....what I want to know is do you get up at a certain time, have lunch at the same time, do certain cleaning duties at the same time every week or do you just go with the flow and let the day unfold on its on? I am trying to find some good ideas, so, I can come up with the best solution for me!

I find that as long as I get up and get myself ready for the day before the kids are awake that my day falls into place all on its own :) I used to sleep until one of the kids woke me up, but then I found myself struggling to catch up to them. They were ready for breakfast and play and I was still working on waking up. Now, I'm up and dressed, usually have breakfast ready and load going in the washing machine before they even wake. As for actual scheduled times, we just go with the flow :)

Thanks! I usually get up when one of my kids get up...but, if that happens I feel like I am already 3 hours behind...I am going to try to get up at least 30 minutes before the kids...because, what I am doing now...just isn't working out! :)

My son (he's 2 1/2) wakes up on his own in the morning (around 8:30am), then he always has a nap around 1pm. He goes to bed at 8pm.

We just go with the flow. Everytime l realize the kids are on a sleep and eat schedule, they change it. l just make sure my 2 year old gets his afternoon nap and he's in bed by 10. l think it's one of the benefits of being at home. l don't have to get things done by a certain time so l can get enough rest before work the next day. l should be in bed now but l'm too stressed. l can't even get myself on a scheduled time for bed.

I try to get up 30 min to a hour before my son wakes up so I can 'wake up' for the day. Then I go with the flow as the day goes on.....I try to keep his feeding schedules and naps the same everyday and I just do what cleaning and everything else I have to do when I can do it

My kids wake up, nap, and go to bed at the same time every day. Now granted they are not both on the same schedule as one is 3.5 and the other is 2 weeks. They eat at the same times every day but everything else I just try to accomplish during the day. In the morning I hop on the treadmil because my son is not allowed to play outside his room till 8 when his alarm goes off so he gets up and gets dressed by himself while I feed his sister then get an hour in of walking. Everything else I want to get done ie: laundry and cleaning and what not I just mentally cross off as I get to them.
