Separation anxiety

I think my 14.5 month old son is just starting separation anxiety. When I leave him at the gym daycare (two different gyms) he cries. I hid from him for a few mins to see if he would stop and he did not. I can't leave him there to cry for more than 2 mins or so. Any suggestions? I really want to work out and this is my only daycare.

My son went through the same thing when he 14 months. His pediatrician told me that it is just a phase that children go through. Try leaving him for 15 minutes at first and then make the time longer as he starts to realize that mommy comes back when she leaves. The best thing you can do in my opinion is to drop him off and leave. Dont linger in the room because that will just make it harder on him when you do leave. Eventually he will enjoy spending time away from you(no offense :-D ) and won't want to leave.
