Shouldn't it be the other way around?

This is ridiculous. My baby sleeps through the night and I am not. I'm actually getting hardly any sleep at all. I managed to get my two month old on a schedule that works so she sleeps decently at night. I stay at home and take care of my beautiful daughter and our house so that should exhaust me. But it simply comes down to I am not getting adequate rest and am horribly fatigued.I don't know to do!?

nothing brings the sand man on faster than reading a few chapters of a book.. plus it gets your mind off of everything else and helps you relax...

Is it the fact that you have things on your mind. Like things that you have to do in the morning like washing etc. You need to learn to unwind. If you have tried the long deep baths with candles with no avail then try a hobby like needlework which is quiet. This should give the mind time to unwind before sleep. Try not to drink tea or coffee before bed or eat chocolate as these all contain caffeine. Also use the relaxation technique which is the clench and hold. Lie in bed on your back with lights off and then clench your feet really tightly for 10 seconds and then slowly release. Breathing deeply and slowly then clench your calves for 10 seconds working your way all the way up the body including your face. It sounds odd but it does work and has helped me and friends when we are feeling stressed.

Try journaling what's keeping you up. You must just have lists of things to do, anxieties, and what not. Often times, just writing it down is enough to get it out of your head so you can wind down. Then, there are the old stand bys of warm milk or good turkey, warm baths, tea, etc..

Is it possible that you are maybe too tired?
