I have a 9 month old baby boy and a 4 year old and my 4 year old daughter loves her brother alot i can tell, she hugs and kisses him but other days she just won't let him near her, not even touch her and it upsets me alot because i want them to always be together and to be good with each other. I know they will have their fights and differences but it does bother me a little now. Lately she is just acting up alot...

Thank you ladies for the advice i really do need it, she has been good so far two days now ever since me and my hubby talked to her but i'm just hoping it's a phase and it will pass. She defends him with her life and loves him alot but she does get her jealous bouts every once in a while

I agree with Heather. I have 2 girls 3 and 1 and the oldest hates her sister doing anything or touch her toys at times and sometimes mommy and me dates help, but God forbid ANYONE get after her sister or take something from her. My kids drive eachother insain and fight sometimes (alot lately) but I know they will always be close because they both stick up for eachother and the oldest is very helpful when her sister falls or needs a hand walking. It will work out.

She may just be feeling a little jealous. I have an almost 4yo daughter, a 2yo son, and one on the way. When my daughter starts acting like this I like to have a mommy and me date. I will take her out for "coffee". We go to the bagel shop in town have breakfast and "coffee" (hot cocoa in her case) and just spend a couple of hrs (if we have it) or a few minutes, just being together. This usually helps with her behavior and brings us a little closer as well as her and her brother closer. Good Luck momma and just know that this too shall pass.
