I love being a stay at home mom but I am 20 and i miss having friends. My daughter is 20 months old and i have taken her out to eat at Carls Jr. because she loves playing in the tubes. I have noticed that she is really ruff and doesnt have very good social skills. So i am in search of Moms with liked aged children in Ontario OREGON. If I am lucky enough to get a cool mom friend out of a play date for m daughter id be sooooo happy. None of my friends have kids so we just dont connect the same anymore.

Hello,
Fruitland is a pretty small town also. I would love to get together whenever you move over this way. I don't know much they would have to offer in that town, i do know about head start though. They have one in Payette and Weiser and i know the one in Weiser is now offering classes for 3 year olds. But, they need to turn 3 before September and my little girls bday is in September so she doesn't make the cut:( The best places for little ones are in the Nampa/Boise area. That is where i relocated from, but i wanted my little ones to learn to use there imagination and play outside more so we will deffenitley find that here. I don't know this website well enough yet but if you message me personally i will give you my personal e-mail and we can chat more about details of when you move and when we can meet up. I look forward to hearing from you.

Well these posts are pretty old so i have no idea if i will get a response or not. I recently moved to Annex and if you know the Ontario area then you know i live in the boonies. It's considered Ontario now, and close to Weiser but i prefer to not look for other mothers there to hang with. My husband has a ton of family there and i would rather not every part of my life be known to everyone. I am fairly new to the area and was looking for a mom to meet up with. My daughter is 27m old this month and my son is turning 1 in February. If you would still like to meet up with another parent i am more then willing. I am a temporary stay at home mom as well and would love to get out of the house and talk to another female who knows what a mom goes through. Just let me know.

I was looking up play groups in the area and saw your post. I live in Ontario, Oregon and have an 11 month old (soon to be a year) and would love to meet another new mom. Let me know if you are still interested.

I tried the web sites and they are all still a 45 minute drive away and i checked out the churches in my area and they are either just a kids group or and all moms group for bible study's and Sunday school. The moms and kids are all separate. i actually tried this one but it was all about how to "raise your child Gods way" ... no activities just sitting and talking. I dont have a problem with highly religious people, i just dont like the condescending way the moms look at me and talk to/about me. They tend to talk to me like am 4 and slow. Like i am beneath them because i had a child without being married, and my boyfriend(not my babbys daddy) i have been with for over a year is 26 years older than me. Yea my relationship isnt conventional but its the best i have ever had and its really functional and pretty much ideal for me. i walked out of the room where the moms were to go throw something away and when i came back i heard them talking about how sad of a story i was, how they thought i should have givin my baby up for adoption, and how i should have married my daughters dad(p.s. he was abusive). So church groups i am cautious about and the rest happen to be a good 45 minute drive. i dont mind the drive but i dont have the money for gas. MOMS club asked me to start a chapter for my town but the moms around here are a little more interested in themselves and are kinda difficult to get to know. its a small town so most of them have known each other their whole lives and it just feels like there is no room for me.

I too am in near Salem, Natasha. Where are you?

I don't know if you are open to this but I attend a MOPS group at a local church, and churches in general might be a good place to meet moms with kids. But dont be afraid to shop around. Some are better than others!

I'd help you out if I wasn't 7 hours away from you! Lol. I live in the south of Portland area (like 40 minutes south). I agree about trying meetup.com

I do enjoy the small town of Ontario cuz it is close to a main city if i ever need any specialty item or something i cant get at walmart, k-mart, or albertsons. then there are a couple little stores where you can get clothes or something. But i left Boise because i really dislike the traffic and my boyfriend lived in ontario and we finally moved in together. So its not that i really mind the hour drive for something i need but i cant afford to make that trip twice a week or once a week. i can barly afford to do it once a month. And i have never really had any close friends, let alone friends that have kids.

God. I now know I never what to live in oregon. I use to drive 30 mins to meet some friends around here. It was alway on a main road here and on the way home instead of taking 30 mins some times it would be backed up and it would take from an hr to 2 hrs

Oh i have tried Google, Bing, My babies Dr., Blogs, Forums, Websites, Facebook, and i got desperate enough to post something on craigslist. All saying that if i wanted to do something kid friendly for a toddler id have to go to a town that is 45 minutes away. lol and it happens that its even another state.

The only thing around here for kids is daycare and being a stay at home mom i dont actually use it. lol The only other thing would be a dance class for toddlers but that is fairly expensive.

Have you tried to sign up for any music classes or story times? I didn't know anyone really around where I lived when I had children and I met a bunch of ladies with kids around the same age as my son when I did music class. It was great. We formed this little group and all became good friends.
