Hey moms , my daughter is around 7 months old she doesnt nap during day and ends up having 3 naps each around 15 mins max . Takes lot of time to settle down for these naps . Sometimes even gives lot of sleep trouble at night . She is being very cranky during day and its tough to entertain her . I have to nurse her to sleep and for naps along with rocking sometimes . Is that ok ... Any advice

I have SO been there SO many times. Sometimes it is just doing what works for survival too. I have learned over the years that sometimes you have to stick to your guns and sometimes you have to stay sane :) I am needing to wean my youngest from her pacifier. I have a feeling that some days it is going to be all about the survival and staying sane then the weaning of the pacifier. It will get gone eventually, but I also want to stay somewhat sane through the process. She will get better at the sleeping just may take longer then what you wish it would :)

Personally I would try to wean her from nursing to sleep. You can still nurse her before she lays down, but lay her down awake. She has not learned how to self soothe herself so every time she wakes she does not know how to put herself back to sleep without you nursing or rocking. I rocked my oldest to sleep until he was about 18 months old. Finally he became too heavy to lay back down in his crib without waking him up and starting all over. After spending two nights in a row in the rocking chair I learned that I needed to let him figure things out. A week of letting him cry it out and he slept through just fine and is now 15 yrs old and has no sleep issues :) Some people don't like the cry it out method, but for him that is what worked. He was use to me going in and rocking him, so me going in to his room made it worse. It was hard to listen to him cry, but I also knew that he was ok and would figure out how to put himself to sleep if I just gave him the time.
